LGBTQ+ Couples
Relationships have their ups and downs, which is why finding a therapist you can trust and feel safe with is so important. Brave Talk Therapy recognizes that individuals in the LGBTQ+ community experience systemic oppression and discrimination that pose a unique challenge to their relationships. Consistent exposure to negative messages (both within our immediate and larger communities) and political policies being passed directly impacts our daily life and relationships, as well as contributes to stress, low self-esteem, and negative mental health outcomes.
At Brave Talk Therapy, our therapists make sure to establish a safe and affirming environment that incorporates an anti-oppressive lens when we work with couples who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Our goal is to help you feel balanced in your relationship by taking into account your unique needs, lived experiences, and relationship goals. Brave Talk Therapy also provides support on an individual level for those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues and need assistance expressing their feelings and symptoms to their partner.
